20 Emergency Action Plan

Each project maintains a site-specific emergency action plan covering, at minimum:

Emergency escape procedures and route assignments, posted with a site map

A muster point and a method to account for all employees and subcontractors after evacuation

Procedures for reporting fires, medical emergencies, severe weather, gas leaks, and structural concerns; 911 address and nearest hospital posted at the site office

Alarm/notification method recognizable by all site personnel (air horn signals or equivalent)

Rescue and medical duties for designated employees; utility shutoff locations identified

Severe-weather (tornado/lightning/high-wind) triggers: crane and lift shutdown, work-at-height suspension, shelter locations

Training on the plan at orientation and whenever it changes; a drill is conducted for long-duration projects
