Policy Disclaimer and Informational Note
3F Construction LLC reserves the right to modify, add to, or delete any policy in this manual at any time. The rules set out here are as complete as we can reasonably make them; however, they are not all-inclusive, because circumstances we have not anticipated may arise. 3F Construction LLC may vary from the policies and provisions in this manual if, in its sole discretion, circumstances require.
This program addresses known and recognized hazards common to our operations, with emphasis on hazards that may exist on a job site. It is based on federal OSHA standards, applicable Illinois and City of Chicago requirements, and the collective experience of loss-control professionals. It supplements — and does not replace — task-specific training, manufacturer instructions, and the advice of qualified safety professionals for special hazards. Where any provision of this manual conflicts with a current OSHA standard, the OSHA standard governs.
Jurisdiction note: Illinois private-sector construction employers are covered by federal OSHA (Illinois OSHA covers state and local government employees only). Work in the City of Chicago must also comply with the Chicago Construction Codes (Title 14), Department of Buildings permit conditions, and public-way protection requirements. Illinois law (820 ILCS 630) requires OSHA 10-hour training for workers on public works projects.
